ELL Kids in the Art Studio; 2nd child 9/19

Let's use art as a vehicle for learning! Improve comprehension of English language vocabulary in fun, tactile, and creative ways with experienced ELL teacher and artist Anna Merrow. Art projects will include ceramic bead making, mixed media collage, and customized lanterns. Open to ages 7-13. Materials included in course fee. There is a $12 discount for the second child per family.

Instructor Jazzmyne Kolstelnik of Kaleidoscope Arrangements will guide you in combining the use of fresh flowers, dried flowers, and cut-paper florals to create one of a kind arrangements. Make your own Halloween themed decorations, or a harvest wreath appropriate for the entire fall season! Feel free to bring any small decorative items or reference photos. Materials fee of $56 payable at class.

Back by popular demand, create a stunning work of art to hang in your window using the many items provided such as sea glass, colored glass, shells, and more. In class we prepare the frames and design and attach the items and the way to hang the finished product. Then you will be given access to an online video to do the optional final step at home-encasing the items in a hard coating of resin. A resin alternative will be demonstrated in class. Materials free of $30 payable to instructor at class.

If you are 16-24 years old, 18+ with low income, or a person with a disability and you have a barrier to employment...., you may qualify for GWWFS funds to assist you in continuing your education toward a specific employment goal.
For instance, if you don't have a High School credential, GWWFS may be able to pay for books, materials and transportation so you can come to SCAE and get your DIPLOMA or HiSET.
