Intro to Hoop Dance Workshop 12/2

Have you been wanting a new hobby but just not sure what? Do you enjoy having FUN while also getting in a good workout? Do you enjoy laughing and feeling like a kid again? If you answered yes to any of these questions, hoop dance is just for you!
In this workshop, you will learn all the basics of hooping. Learn how to hula hoop and keep it up on your waist, how to dance inside of your hoop, and even learn some off body fancy tricks to impress your friends! We will start with a warm up, get to hooping and end the workshop with a nice cool down. Hula hoops and music provided! Please wear comfortable clothing and foot wear. Remember to bring your water bottle and come have fun with us!
Intro to Modern Watercolor

Introduction to Beekeeping

This is a one-session overview of keeping bees with brief presentations about the time, commitment and financial considerations involved with the hobby. We will review the equipment necessary to establish your own hive and options for placement of hives at various locations. Seasonal management of hives, pests and diseases of the hive and products of the hive will be discussed. This is an interactive program with time for questions and answers.
Introductory Glass Blowing

This workshop will introduce students to the fundamentals of working in a glassblowing studio and developing skills necessary to complete simple blown objects. Small classes will provide for individual attention and hands-on experience gathering, controlling, blowing and shaping molten glass. Instruction time will be divided between demonstrations and supervised work. This Workshop meets 3 hours per class for 3 consecutive weeks. Ages 18 and over.

Casting on, ending a project and learning how to repair mistakes will be covered, as well as mastery of the basic knit and purl stitches, which are the foundation of all knitting. All levels of ability are welcome! Bring size 7 knitting needles, 1 Supersaver Red heart yarn (7 ounces) -a light color, 1 small pair of scissors and a tape measure. First session would be slippers or mittens. No class 11/11.
