Knitting Basics - ONE NIGHT CLASS

If you don't have time for the six-week class, come and join us for a one-night class.

Ideal for beginning or "rusty" knitters. Casting on, ending a project, and repairing mistakes will be covered, as well as mastery of the basic knit and purl stitches, the foundation of all knitting.  All levels of ability are welcome! Bring size 7 knitting needles, 1 light color Supersaver Red heart yarn (7 ounces), 1 small pair of scissors, and a tape measure. 

 

 

Cricut Basics - Hands on Crafts

Learn how to make projects on your Cricut! This will be a hands-on class. Learn how to make fun mini projects; mugs, koozies, etc., as well as other projects. There will also be a t-shirt project. This class is a three-week (6-session) course to either begin or improve your Cricut skills. Come and join the fun!!

The $60 fee is for materials for your projects. Class is limited.

Wire Wrapped Jewelry

Beth will present a different wire-wrapped pendant project each week. 

Come create a piece of jewelry, pendant, or earrings using a variety of jewelry techniques including hammering. Bring your original ideas and any jewelry tools you may have. $10 materials fee to be paid to instructor at time of class.

General Pottery (Hand Building & Wheel Throwing)

Drawing Nature Up Close

As a Gray Whale Census Biologist and Biological Illustrator I look closely, observe, and transfer what I see onto a two-dimensional surface.  The more we look deeply, the more we notice, the more information we can transfer and express.  Apply the Elements, Line, Shape, Value, and Texture to Draw what you see.  Use a magnified glass and your power of observation to draw natural objects.

Materials Fee:  $25 (If you have not taken her classes before).

(If you have taken her class before, bring your supplies and your Materials Fee is $10)

Watercolors for Beginners

Learn and practice watercolor techniques by painting four subjects designed to present a variety of painting challenges.  This course is intended for persons with little or no previous art experience.  Both new and returning students are welcome.

A $5 material fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

First night of class is strictly for beginners.  (Students that have not taken her class before).  Then seasoned students will start the following week.
