Create a Mosaic Memory or Garden Art!

Create a memory on slate that beautifies your indor or outdoor space and honors the presence or absence of someone or something meaningful in your life.  Learn skills of stained glass mosaic art in the process!  Tools and and materials provided, and you can add your own unique bits in the process.  Materials fee $20 (cash please) payable to the instructor.

Quilted Lunch Bag

Never lose your lunch bag again in the office frig. Make your own using fabrics you choose to match your personality. Bring one yard of quality cotton quilting fabric of your choice 3/4 of a yard of insulated batting, 1 package of double fold bias tape, and sew-on Velcro, sewing machine, and sewing supplies.

Mindfulness with Clay 5/7

Youth Clay Night 5/15

During each class, we will be exploring one fun and easy beginner level project.  Students will have the opportunity to throw clay on the potter's wheel and learn to hand build sculptural forms on alternating weeks.  Students will also get to decorate their pieces before they are fired.  This class is good for those new to clay, or looking to try someting thev've  never experienced.  Each week will be a new project, so students may come to any class they are interested in.  Come by yourself or bring a friend!  All experience levels welcome, appropriate for ages 6-13. Materials fee of $12 (cash) payable to instructor at class. Specify date when registering.

Drawing Basics

Learn to draw from life using chalk pastels!  Class will cover the basics of form and value, perspective, and shadow.  Students will be asked to draw a still life composed of found objects.  Materials will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring objects they find interesting they may want to draw as part of their piece. Materials fee $10 (cash please) payable to the instructor.

You will leave with an attractive and practical purse that will be with you long after the summer ends. Bring two one half yards of quality cotton quilting fabric of your choice and a half yard of fusible fleece, sewing machine, and sewing supplies.

Ink, Print, Repeat!

Block Printing Cards and Gift Tags...and a Fabric Clutch.  We will dive into the world of printmaking during this evening of printing using stamps, blocks colorful ink and paper.  Tish will introduce the class to the basics of printmaking using the tools inks and paper.  After the initial demonstrations, students will be free to use all the supplies to make personalized one of a kind cards, gift tags and one fabric clutch.  Students wil leave with a collection of cards and gift tags to use to personalize their future gift giving.  Come join in the fun.  Materials fee $12 (cash please) payable to the instructor at class.
