In this presentation, we will discuss what is involved in hospice care, the best time to choose hospice support, the interdisciplinary team, who pays for hospice services, palliative care vs hospice care, what benefits are available including equipment and supplies, and requesting an informational visit. We will do our best to answer any questions you might have about hospice care at home and review the types of care provided at an inpatient hospice facility.

Wood Carving Basics with Knives

Have you never carved wood but would like to try it? If you're just looking for a group to carve with, come and join us. You will learn some basic techniques for carving wood with woodcarving knives, We will also discuss reading the wood to determine the best approach with each cut. We will go over "Stropping" (Sharpening) your knives.
A new project is available for purchase each week or you can bring your own. And the best part? Kits cost just $10, making this class not only enriching but also affordable.
All levels of ability are welcome!
First week, carving project is free.
