Medical Office Specialist with Billing Certification 2/26

This 16 week course provides practical real-world skills essential for success in the healthcare field. This completely inclusive course consists of Medical Terminology, Medical Front Office skills, EHR/EMR for the Medical Office, Medical Billing Specialist and the Administrative Medical Assistant. You will learn how to use electronic records which are used in many medical offices. In addition, upon completion of all courses, you will sit for your CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant), Electronic Health Record and Billing Specialist national certification exams through the National Healthcare Association. The $3000 includes national certifications, books and fees. Payment plans available.

Throwing for Beginners 2/26

Explore clay forms thrown on the pottery wheel. Learn to make at least three basic forms: the bowl, the cylinder, and the dinner plate. Trim and finish your pottery pieces and learn how to apply glaze or slip. Tools and materials will be provided for this class. Students should bring their own aprons/art clothes and a hand sized towel. Materials fee of $36 (cash please) for glazes, slips and a 25 lb. bag of clay, is payable to the instructor at class.

We will review the equipment necessary to establish your own hive and options for placement of hives at various locations. Seasonal management of hives, pests and diseases of the hive and products of the hive will be discussed. This is an interactive program with time for questions and answers.

Tai Chi Heart

Dr. Paul Lam and his team of medical and Tai Chi experts designed Tai Chi Heart (TCH) to be safe, easy to learn, and effective for mature adults of all levels of ability. This program is designed to improve balance, strength, flexibility, immunity and relaxation. The program places emphasis in building strength inside from the mind to inner structure, cultivating Qi (chee). It is designed to build energy related to the heart and build heart health, both physically and emotionally. This program can also prevent and improve most heart conditions.
Dr. Lam's team has incorporated medical research and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as in all his Tai Chi for Health programs. The program uses elements of three styles of Tai Chi: SUN, Yang and CHEN.
