Understanding the psychological makeup of gifted children and their typical developmental patterns can guide both parenting and educational decision-making. Kathi Kearney will help you to discover common characteristics of gifted children and their asynchronous development; how this affects your parenting; how to advocate for your gifted child (both in school and in the community); and what giftedness looks like at different stages of development. Explore cultural differences and the unique aspect of disabilities. Resources and readings will be provided. Interact with a panel of gifted children now, and a group of gifted children - all grown up.
