Discover the magic of working with sentence grammar. First, you will look at various kinds of incomplete sentences—also known as sentence fragments. You’ll learn how to rewrite them to make them whole. Next, find out about run-on sentences—those sentences that keep going on and on. You will develop techniques for punctuating or separating them into new sentences. 

Then, explore the power of verbs and discover how the various verb forms keep sentences moving along and placed in time. Finally, you'll learn about all of the pronoun groups and how to determine a pronoun's proper form in a sentence.

CPR Heartsaver & First Aid

Acquire the critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest until emergency medical services arrive. Learn to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, and other first-aid emergencies. CPR and AED for Adults, Children, and infants.  Certification is good for 2 years and meets most requirements for advisors, camp counselors, and basic care providers.  The course fee includes American Heart Association CPR card. (This instructor is AHA and ASHI Certified).

There is a $40 materials fee for supplies, and books.

 

 

Knitting Basics (2 weeks)

Ideal for beginning or "rusty" knitters. Casting on, ending a project, and repairing mistakes will be covered, as well as mastery of the basic knit and purl stitches, the foundation of all knitting. 

This class is a short three-week class.  All levels of ability are welcome! Bring size 7 knitting needles, 1 light color Supersaver Red heart yarn (7 ounces), 1 small pair of scissors, and a tape measure. 

 

Can't make a full session?  Student drop-ins are welcome!

Drop-In fee is $15 per class.  

Please stop by the office to pay for class drop-in.
