Intro to Ceramics

The squares in the bottom of this basket remind me of windows with lots of panes.  It is a large, shallow basket with a sturdy handle. It measures 15” square. Materials fee of $25 (cash please) is payable to the instructor at class.

Fun with Felt!

Beth will introduce stuents to the age-ol technique of wet felting with wool, soap, and water.  Join us in creating colorful flowers that last forever.  Students will select from a wide variety of colorful wool to personalize their flowers to create wearable art...flowers can be worn as a broach or attached to your favorite hat! Come join us to have some fun with felt.  Materials fee of $12 (cash please) payable to the instructor at class.

Candle Making (Part 2)

It's NOT required that you take Candle Making Part 1!  Come create all natural, non-toxic soy wax candles with pure essential oils.  Use your own homemade candle cup (from Part 1 of this series), or if you can't make it for both, we will provide a glass jar for you!  Materials fee of $15 (cash please) payable to the instructor at class.

Youth Clay Night 5/29

During each class, we will be exploring one fun and easy beginner level project.  Students will have the opportunity to throw clay on the potter's wheel and learn to hand build sculptural forms on alternating weeks.  Students will also get to decorate their pieces before they are fired.  This class is good for those new to clay, or looking to try someting thev've  never experienced.  Each week will be a new project, so students may come to any class they are interested in.  Come by yourself or bring a friend!  All experience levels welcome, appropriate for ages 6-13. Materials fee of $12 (cash) payable to instructor at class. Specify date when registering.

Closing Procedures & Financial Statements 6/1

This course shows you how to create a worksheet used to adjust the account balances and prepare the financial statements. Use your financial statements to measure performance, make improvements and set goals. The final step covered in this course is closing your books and preparing them for the next accounting period; this is done by journaling and posting closing entries.
