DIY: Serving Platter

DIY: Tile Backsplash

Have you been meaning to get to that tile backsplash project in your kitchen but felt uninspired by the tile options out there?  Well, now is your chance to make it your own!  Learn from the very beginning how to design, build, and embellish a beautiful tile accent for your kitchen.  Students will focus on drafting and designing week one, create the physical tiles during weeks two and three, and embellish their finished tiles during the final class.  Materials fee of $30 (cash) payable to the instructor at class.

Drawing from Life

During this four week introductory course, we will explore some classic drawing techniques using contour lines, shading and blending to create a sense of three-dimensional form using shape and value. We will begin with some "warm-up" activities and then work from a still life for the duration of the course. The instructor will help the students develop a compelling composition, accurate proportion, rich shading with a focus on realism. Materials fee of $15 payable to instructor at class.
