Homesteading 101

This class is designed to "flip" from onsite to remote, should we need to close our buildings.

Learn some of the basics of homesteading.  We will discuss how you can use your property in the best way for self sufficiency, growing your own food, preserving food, lumber milling/building projects and raising animals.  We will talk about the things that we do on our own properties and give guidance/answer questions on how you can get started.

Raku

This class is on-site, face to face.

Raku is a quick firing process that offers chance surface effects on your ceramic creations.  You will decorate your pots with glazes, and then they will be fired in an outdoor kiln.  Once the desired temperature is achieved, the pots will be removed and placed in a water bath for cleaning before taking them home.  In the fourth week, we will fire the pots in an off-site location.  Keeping the weather in mind, this date will be determined at a later date.  

Materials fee: $20 (cash please) per piece, payable to instructor

Nurturing Parenting

Parenting can be hard!  You're not alone!  The Nurturing Parenting program will cover topics such as; communicating with respect, building self-worth, morals, values and rules, dealing with stress and anger and many more.  Join us in this laid-back group that leaves room for conversation and sharing!  Certification of Completion available.

Microaggressions, Reflecting on Harmful Language: Session 2

This workshop will expose and explain the subtle nature of microaggressions, which are defined as "daily verbal, behavioral, and environmental communications, whether intentional or unintentional, that transmit hostile, derogatory, or negative messages to a target person because they belong to a stigmatized group." A very nice program for beginners, veterans, or anyone new to Tai Chi for Health. It is designed to assist folks with balance, coordination, and focus, whilehelping with stress, tiredness, injury, surgical procedure recovery or stroke. Self-management is the most empowering way to take control of your health and wellness. This program of rehabilitation utilizes several styles of Tai Chi and is a great start!
