Gain insights into your data using business intelligence software – Power Business Intelligence. Power BI is a widely used business analytics service offered by Microsoft. Power BI Desktop is a complete data analysis and report creation tool that you install for free. Discover the process of creating interactive reports. Integrate financial, marketing, or any other source data in your accounting system, Excel, or on the Web. Streamline the data to what is needed using Power Query. Create charts, maps, and other visuals to see your data in real-time. Delve further into Power Query to ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) your data. Build the Data Model using relationships and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Utilize Time Intelligence functions to view YoY or YTD reports. Structured Query Language (SQL) is the industry standard database programming language. It is one of the most in-demand skills in occupations that require interaction with data and analyzing data. Through your knowledge of Structured Query Language, you will become more marketable in computer-related career fields that pertain to database administration. Learning SQL can also lead to a job that is specific to analyzing data such as a data analyst, a quality assurance analyst, or a business analyst.   You’ll first learn about relational database structures, the history and uses of Structured Query Language, and how to use Structured Query Language to create a database, add records to database tables, and to use SQL queries to extract meaningful data from database tables.  You will quickly progress from creating simple SQL queries that query a single table to querying multiple tables simultaneously. You’ll also learn how to alter data in a database and how to gather significant statistics from data stored in a database. Finally, you'll learn techniques that will enable you to write powerful queries that perform complicated searches and sorts on your data. This certificate will enhance your competitiveness in the field of database administration and data analyst jobs.

INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY

Grab your steps-counting app on your phone, or your watch and spend a few evenings weekly walking indoors with us at Willard School.  SCAE has two floors, so you'll be able to get a good stretch along the hallways, and also add in some stairs!  Don't let the darkness of autumn, or winter keep you from getting your steps in!  Just stop in at the office for signing in (and out!).  You can even keep track of your steps on our sign in form.  We're looking forward to seeing you.

We run Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7p - 9p.  Doors open roughly at 6:45 pm.  They enter the school by the Boy's Gym.

You can do as many nights as you wish, there is no limit on the nights you attend.

THIS CLASS IS FOR MAINE RESIDENTS ONLY

Our community needs individuals who want to make a difference in a child's life.

Maine Children with intellectual challenges, autism, and mental health disorders, as well as their families, depend on Children's Behavioral Health Services, and there is a huge need in our area!  A Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) is an essential member of a child's treatment team and has the chance to have an instant influence while assisting children in reaching their full potential.

We are thrilled to provide this fantastic Blended training to our community.  You will be equipped to work with children who need services, while preparing yourself for employment with local social service agencies and/or school programs.  Start whenever you choose, and go at your own pace.  You have 6 months from your registration day to complete the course.

You will complete 12 online modules, then participate in two Live sessions:  BHP Live Day (8 - 9 hours offered in-person or virtually) and Ethical Considerations (2.5 hours offered virtually).  You will also receive a stipend to obtain Child & Adult First Aid/CPR Certification and free online training in blood-borne pathogens.  Our free remote training program can get you certified and started in a career that will change your life in just 40 hours.

Required:  Must be a Maine resident and at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent to become certified.  The state also requires that you take an in-person cpr/first aid class.  The cost of up to $100 will be reimbursed once you have completed the American Red Cross or American Heart Saver Course.  Woodfords CPR/FA classes in Westbrook, Manchester and Brewer are free for all workforce learners.

Jeffrey Carpenter, Workforce Recruitment Specialist for the State of Maine's Office of Child and Family Services through Woodfords Family Services, is here to help you through the learning opportunity by providing answers to questions and assistance with technical issues, should any arise.  He is also a resource to connect you with service agencies once you have completed the training.

Registration for this class is free, meaning there is no fee to sign up for the course.  However, once registered, there is a cost of $3,200 to enroll in the class.  Your registration doesn't secure your spot in the class.  Your registration details are necessary for SCAE to forward to American Medical Professionals.  Payments go directly to American Medical Professionals.  They offer multiple payment methods.

After signing up for the class, you'll receive a packet to fill out and send directly to American Medical Professionals.  Once you have completed the paperwork and the requested information, the Academy of Medical Professionals will contact you to complete your registration process.

Classes are held once a week for 2 hours via Zoom and are recorded. You may choose to attend the course Live via Zoom or Self-paced by watching the recorded classes; both program options have instructor support. You will learn HIPAA compliance and health information in the medical office, insurance and billing procedures, financial and practice management, and administrative duties. In addition, we take you through the “virtual medical office” which allows you to practice “real” medical office skills before entering the workforce.

$3,200 includes National Certification, all books, fees, and resume and job assistance.
