A Garden with 4-Season Interest

In this 1.5 hour long course, participants will be guided through the process of creating garden spaces that have visual interest in all four seasons. Spring, Summer, Fall, and even winter can be exceptional in your home garden. Accounting 1 & 2 Winter AM

Accounting 1: During this course the student will complete the full accounting cycle for a business set up as a sole proprietorship. In the process they will learn the basics of double-entry record keeping, how to balance debits and credits, prepare profit and loss statements, prepare balance sheets and reconciliations. They will also learn how to define accounting terms, identify accounting practices, analyze transactions, record in and balance journals, prove cash, and post to general journals. Accounting 2: Prepare and analyze work sheets for a service and merchandising business. Plan adjustments for year-end closing. Prepare and analyze financial statements. Prerequisite: Accounting I. Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate Course (Mediation) 1/12

Develop or participate in conflict mediation processes. Review the growth and application of settlement options in the United States. Focus on both traditional and non-traditional dispute resolution options. Alternative Dispute Resolution (Mediation) is geared for all professionals who are focused on “interest-based bargaining” within government, business and personal disputes and divorce settlement mediation. This course takes the mystery out of settlement processes and focuses on reaching reasonable solutions. Successful graduates of this non-credit course will be awarded a Certificate of Completion from Sanford Community Adult Education.
